Poem: Weary of Myself
Kashkin
Part 1
Am weary of your politics,
You offer nothing
But only promise
You present nothing
But only pain
Part 2
Am weary of your change
You offer nothing
But only the slogan
You do nothing
But only the distance
Part 3
Am weary of you,
You offer nothing
But only the past
You do nothing
But only conversation
Part 4
Am weary of myself
I offer nothing
But only criticism
I do nothing
But only the squabbles!
Part 5
Am not weary of myself,
I have found the peace,
Within myself and around
Am not weary of myself,
I have found my voice
Within myself and you
Am not weary of myself
I have found the courage
To stand up and deliver
Am not weary of myself
Offer you all, I will
At my disposal
Through thick and thin
The world
Different to what we see
Different to what we hear
Am not weary of myself
I will do all I can
In my powers to create
Not only the dreams
And its butterflies but you
I will capture you
I will capture you my prisoners
From the clutches of greed
From the clutches of commerce
In return I offer,
The peace and serenity
In return, I offer,
The world where we matter
Am not weary of myself
You and me, all together
We will weave history
In different colours,
The patterns of our existence
Stitch by stitch, together
Where change is not a dream
But a morning breeze in its spring
Where change is not a metaphor
But a tale of legends and history
In it, our faces glow from this voyage
Through its warmth, through its breeze!
