Making Blog Money via Tyroo
Sakshi Juneja
My blog is very dear to me. I get up a wee-bit early in the morning just to check my blog mails/comments, I sleep a little late at night again to incorporate my blog activities. And above all I devote couple of my official working hours towards my new-love as well.
Ya! Some of you might label me as a blog obsessive person (blog-a-holic) and maybe you are correct but the way I look at it is - TEIO is just an extended part of me. Plus do I really give two hoots about what you think? Hmmm...Nope I don't.
Anyways, since I am devoting loads of time on TEIO plus spending yearly money behind hosting fees/domain fees and the recent makeover, it's a bit hard to manage financial costs involved with my minuscule monthly salary.
So in order to make up for the monetary damage, I started looking around for good Publisher programs offered by various Internet advertising companies. Google Ads is obviously the most popular among blogs and there is also Text Link Ads. Google Ads offers easy-to-use platform whereas Text Link Ads though could be a bit tricky at first to install but offers really good rate schemes.
But if you look closer to home, then I would say that I found Tyroo to be the most efficient of the lot. It is a category based advertising network and was launched in its beta version in June'06.
Tyroo has been running on more than 200 websites including major portals like Indiatimes, Moneycontrol.com, Chennaionline, Oneindia, Webdunia, Zeenews etc and generating good revenues for these sites.
You are required to fill up a not-so-fussy online form with your details and once you have been approved by their team, you are all set to make extra moolah off your blog/website. Generating Ad codes is very simple and you can choose from various sizes to your desired category of ads to be displayed.
Now with regards to the rates being offered by Tyroo, it works like this; It's a CPC based model wherein minimum Cost per click is fixed for image and text ads as below, but actual payout is much higher as pricing is progressive and depends on market environment and various other factors.
Image ads - Rs.2.7 CPC
Text ads - Rs.1.35 CPC
To me even their standard CPC sounds good enough and have already earned Rs. 10.00 in the last 24 hours.
Besides all of the above, the most attractive quality I found was their amazing and lighting-fast customer service. I had a little trouble with an ad placement and within minutes of mailing them, I received a call from your account manager Manas Gulati.
Not only was he able to help me with my query, he passed on all the information I needed with regards to the service being offered by them. And later on also gave a check-up call to see that I had settled in well in my account.
All in all a definite dekho if you are looking for earning some extra bucks via blogging.

Hi !! Is there any other latent cost involved in setting up Advertisint Services on your Blog/Website ?
The question is for all the 3 Internet Advertising companies, viz Google, Text Link Ads and Tyroo.

Good write up sakshi - quick question - do you know if they are context sensitive advertizing - in that case using them and adsense would be prohibitive I guess.

Suyog - I don't think so. I am using both these services on my blog and have not encountered any problems as yet.
All is going well with Tyroo for me. :)

Got to know about tyroo just today on sakshi's personal blog, have immediately signed up for this service.Ive gone through the google service so already know how this works(both look quite similar).Thought of searching for some reviews on this service and landed here.Tyroo being an indian Co. just makes you that comfortable dealing with em'.
Iam a bit skeptic about those link ad's IMHO i feel those are better off for commercial sites rather than your personal blog.
