Special buses and locations for women will only exacerbate the issue. I mean, to protect women we can't put them in cages...that is the Saudi way of doing things.

We need to make sure that law enforcement takes this issue seriously. Every woman should go an lodge complaint in the local thana. The government should track these complaints and the thana that has the most complaints should be punished.

well i have a thing to add here "over here in india we still live in a mixed stratas of social background ,at one extremes we have la Paris hiltons & hugg hefiners ,at other la sati savitris and saints......my point is Females share 30-70(our females/punks) blame ratio...when they wear those figure hugging ...usually enticing clothes ....which derives our Sexually reppressed junta crazy........SO SEEDHE BAAT HAI....watch out for right attire for right place....

This is quite a timeless article, regrettably, thinking of recent sexual violence incidents.

Our movies highlight eve teasing as some macho act. The hero goes after the girl singing ludicrous songs while camera focuses on her exposed body parts and then it is the girl's duty to fall in love with that sick puppy.

We also see guys randomly slapping a girl from rich family only to make her see things right.

All such "macho" acts are welcomed by claps in the audience.
