Poem: Lies There in Ruins, Your Grand Empires!

In rotation, the elements of our existence,
In collision, all the decisions of fate,
What you leave behind defines its debate,
What you carry forward, the years of wait
All those deeds, good and bad, in view
No longer in your control and possession
The decisions you made in its formation
The old Universe plays its tunes to you
In deafening silence and in moments
Of approach - you were once kings
And queens, now lies there in waste
Stands there only the epitaphs
Some written by you and some to come
As history will judge in its fortunes
The roles you played, unashamedly
The lands you destroyed, unknowingly
Stands there only empty roads
To your grand palaces and monuments
As ants begin their journey in its formation
As crumbling weight crushes you
Lies there in ruins, your grand empires.

Not a single soul, offers its salutation
The Kings and Queens of present
Unheeded in your quests of disasters
Just to steal away, one final glance
In submission, of all those souls
In accumulation, as its gathers its dust
As the forgetful tunes of time play
Their final verdict, their grand homage
Lies there, in ruins, your grand empires
Created out of conquests and fear
Created out of intolerance and hate
The old roads you travelled far
To gather, moments of glory and pomp
Remained out of sight, all those
You called your subjects and citizens
The forgotten people and their welfare
As you find your home in constant ruins
The constant companions, your friends
The verdicts of history, and vultures
To find more of you, kings and queens
Lies there in ruins, your grand empires.

Now lies there in ruins all what you built,
Your words, conquests and glory
Learn if you can, you mighty and grand
Only your companions, the earth
Only your companion, the wilderness
As they gaze, mistaken steps and decisions
In rotation, all the elements of our existence
In collision, all the decisions of fate
What you leave behind defines its debate,
What you carry forward, the years of wait
O Mighty and Grand kings and queens
You never learnt, you never lived
Hear we, the constant cry
You never lived, O Mighty Kings and Queens
Cometh forward none to defend and preserve
Lies there in ruins, your grand empires!
