I find most of your arguments quite ridiculous and plain vitriolic. How can an endorsement of a beauty product compromise Bedi's credibility? That is completely her business and she holds no public office.

She has been an IPS officer before and am sure knows the bureaucratic ropes to be qualified for this job.

As long as there is no conflict of interest in the selection process, I do not see why there should be a problem.

I however see your point of Bollywood endorsements of officials setting a bad precedent. But your arguments attacking Bedi and Khan border on being farcical.

This argument is absurdly naive:

"People rise and become public figures for specific reasons and their power/influence should be confined to those areas, as opposed to the revolving door status quo we have now where unqualified actors, sportspersons, businessmen and politicians occupy multiple positions like oscillating electrons in quantum mechanics"

As long as it is legal and ethical, why can't people use their influence/experience in areas outside their domain?
