Live Bomb Defused in Koramangala, Bangalore

An additional live bomb has been found and defused near the Forum Mall in Koramangala, Bangalore. This is the road in front of Hyderabad House restaurant. The police say that they received a report of a man in his twenties wearing a red t-shirt placing a bucket and object at 10:45 AM in the morning. This comes just hours after eight bomb blasts in Bangalore yesterday.
The roads leading up to and around the Forum Mall and Koramangala have been closed and while the Mall is still open, there is much chaos in the area. The National Bomb Detection Squad and the police are scanning the area for any further bombs.
The bomb has a microchip fitted and this recovery should help in investigative efforts, enabling police to possibly track down the source of the explosives used in the blasts. It is likely this is a leftover bomb that fortunately did not go off yesterday. The news of a person reportedly placing this bomb today indicates a well-planned conspiracy that is still afoot.
The city is understandably abuzz with rumours and fears of additional bombs. The police have appealed for calm and asked people to report any suspicious activity.
