Thanks for the great review... will track it down and read it. I did find it strange that Judaism was a huge unknown in India. Every time people saw my white skin they assumed I was christian. When I said I was a jew, they said "oh, jehova's witness!" noooo..... It was a constant struggle. Very few understood or had heard of Judaism. Less than I thought, really. On forms they would mark "Christian" no matter what I said. When I went in to have my baby there was this whole discussion about if I would or would not tolerate a blood transfusion because of religion (again, the jewhova's witness thing.) Anyway, my issues were teensy-weensy in comparison to this author's hell.
