Bangladesh is more conservative, but still this model was a success there. 
I think micro credit companies in India need to find right ways to approach people here. 
If we consider the poor of India(also of north) most of the women do work in fields, construction site,house help etc. Yes conservatism is there, but it is mostly with people who do not need micro credit.They can afford to be conservative, poor cannot
