neat article! Yes, the idea behind the idol and visarjan is simply that- from dust to dust. Unfortunately, the original idols that were made of raw clay have been substituted by plaster of Paris and painted with colors that are toxic to the environment. I sincerely hope that the people who order the Ganesh murthis are congnisant about the environmental aspects in the future.

I am not sure what you are calling me out on. What's pseudo religious? Do you mean by asking me if I have faith? Yes, I do. Do I need proof? No.

And no, I do not believe that I can judge what Brahman wants. What makes you think that Brahman and his representations are different? So where does the question of disposal come from?

If you want to be scientific about it, this is the first law of Godhead, the total Godhead of the universe remains constant.

Hilarious! If you want to be scientific, there is no evidence for anything supernatural and thus for either God or Godhead. Stop with the caricature, ok?

You here want to be a pseudo religious guy and I want to call you out on it.

Other than that, if you believe there is a God who cares about being believed in, what makes you believe that he doesn't care about how his idols are disposed off?
