I agree with the author on so many different points, I feel these are my words. Anyhow,When I saw Munaf first against England I thought here is a great bowler for India. My thought did not change when I saw him bowl slower after that because he was absolute accurate bowler. So I expected him to go all out in test matches. But a spate of injuries just made things bad to worse. After Dravid calls him India's recent best bowler and Venky himself expressing happiness on his return within a week Venky has these comments about him. You can never come out in the public against any player's attitude. Remember how Sachin felt when Greg questioned his attitude. Go ahead and drop a guy if you think he needs to improve but to question someone's attitude because it does not match your's or someone speaks less it is absolutely ridiculous. I hope someone realizes this and works with him to improve his fielding and batting. I wish him all the best. And get Venky out of there, we have enough dividers there. We need someone who can unite.

I will definitely rate Munaf ahead of sreesanth in the One day format.

I think Venky's comments about Munaf were totally uncalled for. If hhe ad an opinion, he might as well express that to the indivdiual. Also, nobody knows what 'intensity' means unless it is transformed into something practical (5 balls on the stumps kind of thing).

Having said that, Munaf is an absolute disaster in the field. Batsmen can run 3 runs before he bends to pick up the ball. His recent bowling performances in ODIs have not been great.

I think he will be back in the team sooner than anybody realises. May be as soon as the 4th ODI.

But he needs to improve his fielding big time.

Now that we have a hindi speaking captain, may be somebody will indeed understand Munaf better :-)
