Deepti

Unfortunately, all they have is a direct bank account contribution note which is on the top right hand side of the main page. I have passed on the suggestion to get a paypal site.

Secondly, they need research to be done on her condition, and the hospital in Washington is apparently the only place where this is done.

Third, yes, good idea about going to India, but I suppose it was the combination of a research lab plus surgical facilities that made the choice of washington pretty much obvious.

thanks again for asking and helping, Deepti.

SS, but without insurance the costs in US would be way higher than taking up a low cost apartment in India. But I guess they know what they are doing and have weighed their options.

Dee.. while coming to India would make the surgeries cheaper, it would make life kinda hard for the parents of this little girl. Since it is likely to be a series of surgeries, they would have little or no support of their friends and family around them for a long time.. until the surgeries were completed and she is healed enough to go home. That is a really long time to go without a support system in an unfamiliar country. Also, the cost savings would be burnt up in long-term hotel fees, right?

bd, there is no PayPal set up for online donors on Tilly's site. And I was thinking wouldn't it be cheaper for them to come to India for the surgeries?
