Dee, thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the movie.

Erik, your observation about the different points of focus on the rat's face is precisely what makes this movie groundbreaking compared to others I've seen. Even on a person the animators have taken care to show depth. So if a character's hand is a little bit behind their face, there is a difference in focus there.

Though I watched a pirated version ( yeah, camera print) I was impressed by the movie's storyline. Nice review Aspi

You have a good point about the realistic backdrops in the film. I noticed that too, how they blurred out the backgrounds to be more realistic. For some reason, my favorite visuals were that of the rat noses - they looked so real as if you could touch them, and they too would get blurred out if the "camera" was focused on the rat's faces, for instance.

Great movie, extraordinary visual effects (with a lot of detail, too) and an intriguing and fun story. Definitely one of the best movies of the year, though that's no surprise since it's Pixar (even though Cars sucked).
