I went to Lal Baugh again yesterday picked up tons of plants but no rose. My maid kept pleading and whining for roses- maa-dam only 12 rupees! and I replied that even if someone wanted to give me a rose bush for free I won't take it! That shut her up! Tanay, when are you interviewing your mom about her garden with gorgeous pictures? Temporal, try something apart from roses. Say - Tulips or is gardening M's forte? Amrita, I agree with your mom whole heartedly - I too wanna rip the damn bushes and don't get me started on those obnoxious weeds!

oh lord, my childhood was rendered hideous by my mother's battles with her rosebushes and the gardener - both he and Ma were convinced the other was secretly poisoning the pwecious liddle woses in some mysterious fashion. One year, Ma finally lost it and poured concrete over the whole garden - and the changed her mind the next year :D Me, if I ever get a garden, I'll plant weeds in it - like daisies or something.

dee: roses are tough...we have an innate disagreement... and they taught me that i do not have a green thumb about the only plant that survive my best efforts are the hardy wandering jews:)

Woh gulab and meri fight ke daastain, with my roses at sea, there is a sharp and painful stab but I would never shake and the fight is on... One may think I'm taking it hard But don't bet, I wouldn't hide that sorrow I am not to break, yawp and yammer.. Arre wait wait till my next post when I post about my blooming buds. All is fine and your buds are on the way, sincere effort reaps results. I = the author of this post :)
