<description>Media revenues are dependent on viewer consumption.If viewers consumer crap, all the channels will produce crap. Best thing is shut your TV. :-)

Without being very critical, I personally feel that the TOI is a 3rd rate newspaper. However, my opinion counts to nothing, more than a million people read it everyday. 

It is all about meeting consumer needs and unfortunately I and you are not the only consumers in the market :-)

<description>The Fourth Estate bends over backwards to pander to the needs of the rich and famous; and in the process forgets the real reason for its existence &amp;mdash; catering to the hoi polloi.

No news channel or newspaper has the authority to shove drivel down our throats under the guise of information. People are far, far too intelligent than any news-presenter in a flashy two-piece suit!
