I think it's a great employment opportunity...think of all the new jobs we could create, if we put more people in the traffic police! They'd more than pay for their salaries through the fines they collect! The best way to do it really, is to put short term contract staff on it. I'm serious.

Ashish, these kinds of incorrigible motorists are to be found all over India. The only solution is to fine them heavily and after the third violation revoke their licenses.

I studies in Bangalore 10 years back, and traffic was never a problem. Now things are pretty bad, and 10 years down the line, well ..
Delhi will have more traffic jams going forward.

Ashish ...i'd been to Delhi recently. One thing that struck me immediately was the feeling of space when compared to Bangalore.Looking at the peak hour jams there i couldn't help but think "here they have wider roads and yet they have jams"....i was wondering what Bangalore would be like 10 years down the line with its narrower roads...if we put a divider in the middle of Bangalore's roads we'd all be forced to drive on the footpath:)))
