sigh

it becomes increasingly clear that peace in the region would come - if it ever does - by default unaided by logic or reason

Actually, they want their land, that was taken in the 1967 war returned, a completely indpendant Palestinian state in gaza and the west bank, i.e. control of airspace and waterways included, and the want the right for their brothers, those expelled in the 1948-49 war and their descendants to return to the the newly formed Independant Palestinian state. Most Arab;s have long since given up on eradicating Israel and rightly so. But wait for my next article, which rebutts all your arguments.

I'm pretty sure that Israel wants peace..what do you think were the Madrid Conference, Oslo, the WYE accord, 2000 Summit with Arafat, and the disengagement? Israel gave away land, to be autonomous to the Palistinean people, and what did they do? they continue to blow up and kill Israelis. Their goal is the eraditcation of the Jewish state.

Why else then, did Israel pull out of Gaza? The israelis pulled out of gaza, gave the palistineans a chance, and what did they do in return? They started launching missiles and sending suicide bombers, nand in turn, Israel reatliated. No suicide bombers, no qaasam= no Israelis air strikes= 1 step closer to peace= palistineas clearly don't want peace or co existence....they want No Israel.
