Congratulations to those guys! I myself used Sify Broadband. It was eight months of torture and harassment until I showed them the finger and chose AirTel Broadband, which is LIGHT YEARS ahead of Sify!

@AJ :Thanks for the kind words. @Nandhu :Blogcamp was a watered down idea. @Milan: 256k isnt broadband- its something thats faster than a dial up. Usually, speeds upwards of 1 Mbps is taken as Broadband. @Pramod: Sorry that this happened to you. You should have cross checked it with other avenues online.

dear friends i am glad tht you are taking interest in thwarting the devious schemes of these isps.Three months back i had taken a bsnl boradband 250 plan.When i booked a connection they didnt give me any tariff plan and just old me tht first three months usage is free(they didnt mention tht download is not free though i asked the lady in basnl office abt it many times).I didnt get any bill for first 3 months and at the end of three motnhs i got a 62,000 rupees bill!i loadeged a complaint against basnl in adalat and the case is going on(on the grounds tht i wasnt paid any tariff bill).And also they dont have any onsite engineer to install their huwei modem.My modem was delivered through the tele lineman of our area.And the bsnl employees of my town didnt now a thing about broadband or computers.

nice news. i hope consumer should read carefully all the terms and conditions before opting for any plan. marketing guys of company only interested to sell the connection and not know much about the twist/ hidden cost. you want know about to kick bsnl. what i know about bsnl is that it is the only company who is providing REAL broadband of 256 and it is really unlimited in Rs. 900/- per month. regarding services i can not comment????????? every body knows. how ever TRAI should take some action regarding quality of services of operators. hopefully after coming of such decissions they make WAKE UP..........

hi abhishek, i was one of the organisers at blogcamp, chennai. i dont get the point u are making about sify. do u mean the connection was unstable?
