Punishment for One Million Children, But Who Cares?

On Childrens' Day more than a million children of the traders and professionals who are under sealing or displacement terror may be asking the leaders, bureaucrats and the honorable court:

"Sealing of self-employment is putting our future and life in dark. Who is thinking about us? Where is justice for us? Can any good law advocate injustice against us? Can a civilized and democratic society be so ruthless against us?"

Will media, honorable court and our leaders wake to this frightening truth?

Save these children, Stop barbarism.

this article highlights the naieevity of an outsider one in assuming that the government actually dosent wat this sealing tammasha to happena dn two by presuming that all people who are gonna be bombed by sealing are illegal. pal u are takin this problem to be very very one dimensional
for point one my argument is this
1. if the govt wants to stop any problem it can in one night example the office of profit case the muslim lady case and on and on and on
2. u are assuming that all the lame arguments that governmnt is giving in court , they actually believe court will hear them and believe them
3. the government has no vested intrest in mall lobbby the common wealth game some other plan
for argument number two assuming all people to be illegal encroachers, let me inform you that
1. government is working under some antiquated 1962 plan, so that all markets that do not come in 1962 plan are illegal
2. government has done only 16% development work
3.another peice of info people are operating shops under local- commercial area given by the government
4. 16 ,00 0schools, chemist shops banquet halls nursing homes will be sealed
kapil dev's office ,TRAI (goi0 office), and even multinational and internationl offices fall under this category,so wake up and realise who the real culcript is

There is no doubt that people are suffering and i am sympathetic to it. But suffering for your own karma, should make one think what he may have done wrong. People in their own selfish persuit forget what wrongs they had done in past, and take things for granted until one day it hits them hard on their face.
Did not many of these people who are now brick batting, the ones responsible for sheltering and electing those corrupt governments( Congress, CPI, BJP all alike) who allowed illegal constructions to come up in first place. It is only when reality glares right into ones face that people realise their follies. These people in order to see there immediate problems solved by hook or crook would partisan with opposition, hardly realising that they are further pushing the country into dungeons...

If the traders are honest and law abiding citizens so are others who choose to remain within the framework of law. Agreed many traders were cheated by corrupt govt officials...they bribed them to secure a ground...and the officials responded them by giving them false assurances....then why is it that these traders are not kicking butts of those govt officials...spend your energy in tracing/finding out those officials and kick there asses instead of wasting energy in breaking law and order on roads.
Do something good by punishing those corrupt officials?

Ashish - you took the words out of my mouth. i think this is one of the most important issues of our day and an excellent opportunity for us to demonstrate our committment to the rule of law as a society.

but i do blame the government [past and present] for this mess that everybody is in. as you rightly pointed out this is an issue that should not have cropped up if only corruption was lower in public office and the state been interested in governance rather than avarice. particularly important was this passage:

<i>"The government will however not try to build more demarcated and specific commercial centers where all these commercial establishments can be re-settled. That will take too long, and may not pay off politically." </i>

sums up everything thats wrong with us, traders and other citizens.

Mr. Hardy, Wake up!!

You will understand the pain of millions of people when your and your family's fate is sealed by snatching your and your family's jobs without your fault. You are honest and law abiding. Still your children can't study, ladies of your family have to beg. Onnly then you will understand what happens when you can even earn honestly.

You are writing without understanding the real problem. Only 2 percent traders and professionals may be illegal. Can you throw thirty lakh people in the den of starvation alongwith them? Wake up and fight for those people for sake of humanity. You are not barbarians.

Is it really pro-people to carry out illegal, corruption and bribe ridden activity/business.
Those people who are holding country to ransome by coming out on streets, are themselves to be blamed for the mayhem.
Courts are doing what is expected in the larger and best interest of people of Delhi and India in general.
Courts should additionally punish Govt,MCD and its officials for the confusion which has resulted into this situation. It should ask Govt and MCD officials(who have been milking a common man for long) to compensate for those who have lost job from their own pockets.
Let all those corrupt officials part with there yearly salary to traders e.t.c and then in future no illegal constructions will ever to allowed to come up in the first place.

Seal Encroachment, not Employment

We regret to know that media is not highlighting the tregedy happening to millions of Indian traders, professionals and their families. They are at the verge of starvation, and unemployment. Nobody is helping them. Their families are left to die in suffocation. Wise people think that they are worse than animals. Even the media is siding with the barbarism, calling the activities of law-abiding traders and professionals as illegal. Is advocating gross human rights violation a good journalism? Even Mahatma Gandhi opposed anti-people laws. Is most of Indian press and media filled with cowards and fools?
