Rahul Mahajan's Deadly Ride With Drugs and Alcohol

The last couple of days the only information that has been highlighted on most news channels is The Mahajan Drug Episode.

The updates have been regular and it seems that our mainstream media is much more informed and well-versed with inside details then the Delhi and Mumbai Police put together (who are jointly handling the case).

Frankly speaking the case seems to be as crystal clear as Evian sparkling bottled water. Rahul Mahajan and Bibek Maitra were victims of Drug Overdose. Now there could be many reasons within this category as well - maybe the cocaine consumed was not pure, maybe the blend of alcohol and cocaine didn't gel well with their body system or maybe they consumed much more than they could tolerate.

But it seems that this transparent case is being complicated and messed up by everyone who is involved. Be it the Apollo Hospital doctors with regards to both the victims initially testing negative for drugs consumption, Delhi Police for their inability and delay in getting hold of the four eyewitnesses, Mahajan's family members and close associates allegedly crying out foul play and murder conspiracy.

The only logical reason that comes to mind when you think about all the above reactions is that they all have just one agenda; to save Rahul Mahajan's social and public status in the eyes of the Indian junta. Just couple of days before the incident, Rahul Mahajan's intentions of stepping in the Indian Political scenario were hinted by the media. Obviously, by making it public that Rahul is a drug addict would seriously damage his political aspirations and standing in BJP party and not to forget that this disturbing incident took place barely one month after Pramod Mahajan's demise. Where the Indian public expects the son to be in mourning phase over his dad's unfortunate death, Mahajan Jr. was busy indulging in drugs and alcohol.

Therefore in order to do a bit of damage-control in this situation, the only solution is to confuse the case further and mis-direct Rahul Mahajan's image from a drug-addict to a victim of political rivalry.

So in the coming days one would expect more twists and turns in the Rahul Mahajan episode, with the people involved digging in deeper in-search of answers to questions that never existed in the first place.

Hi Sakshi, And the worst part of this entire scenario is that the media is busy spilling over this news everywhere and the other important events go unnoticed and less cared for. So far as this case is concerned, there is more to be discovered. Who knows whether it was really cocaine or some kind of poison? Or whether some poison was mixed in his drink before he consumed such cocaine. It is for the forensics to judge and establish but the chances are less that the truth would be revealed.

Temp - Apparently SEX has entered the scene in this case too. One of the servants confessed that apparently both the victims were found together naked in the Jacuzzi.

Meera - I really doubt that its a case of poisoning. As I said in the post its a drug overdose episode and now everyone involved in the case are blaming the Dead guy to save their own skin.

Pavan - Well, the more MSM publicises Drug related topics..the better it is for the society.

Kim - Thanks.

The Rahul Mahajan incident teaches us one important lesson: Don't do drugs and alcohol.

Do either drugs or either alcohol, but not both. :-)

RAM - wow, with that kind of precision, you could probably tell how many grams of cocaine Mahajan Jr. snorted and this would help the delhi police!!

To All - I believe this whole thing came out in the open only because Moitra died. Had he not died, these sleazy things would have been under wraps and we would be sympathising with Rahul for his father's death etc.. etc... and just to think that the media made him a near hero just a month back..!!

Now atleast this episode should be made a good lesson to all those 'badey baap ki bigdi aulaadein' and help in curbing the drug menace in society....

It is also good that the entire media put so much of focus and pressure on the whole issue that inspite of the initial confusion & mess, ultimately the milk has been separated from the water....
