Women's Groups Are Silent On The Female Suicide Bomber: Why?

"Why are all these women's groups and NGOs silent over the LTTE pregnant woman's attempt to kill the Army Commander and succeeded in hurting him grievously and killing and injuring several others, including pregnant women who had come to the Army maternity clinic?" He said more in strong language. After my initial shock, I did come to see the absolute and shameful truth of what he said.
If the army had harmed a Tamil pregnant woman, our women activists with the written word would have been up in arms. Reams would have been written and said; seminars convened and parades organised with banners in English so the foreign press would take note. But now there is a defeanening silence on their part.
Remember how a Tamil girl raped by some army hot bloods in the north had the entirety of women's rightists and women human rights organizations screeching their heads off against the army, the Sinhalese and the government.
Is it foreign funding, probable jaunts abroad and other corrupt carrots that keep these women activists silent in the face of this most terrible crime - not only attempting to kill the head of the army but capitalizing on the generosity of the army to hold clinics for pregnant women with connections to the armed forces?
I have worked with human rights groups and know full well that their individual human rights are what's most important to them - meaning jobs, prestige, foreign trips, kudos from abroad and probable fellowships and visits to Harvard and such like.
This woman who blew herself up would have, we suppose, been actually pregnant and may in all probability may have got herself deliberately pregnant as part of the terrorists' strategy. Leave it to the LTTE to meticulously plan every minute detail and execute the plan to perfection. Mercifully for the country, an army mobike escort riding beside the Army Commander's car kicked the woman. If only he had succeeded in immobilizing her, so many lives may have been saved.
Come on women rights activists. Make a formal protest against the LTTE female suicide bomber's unthinkable act. One could kill for a cause, however screwed, but could you snuff out another life within you?

Most Women Organisations feel, women have a right to murder men and others and they should also go scot free as well.
The reason, they site is that women are oppressed since ages (which is debatable).
The conviction rate and sentences that female criminals get in much lessor than that of male criminals for the same crime.

Sometimes, these suicide bombers (in domestic situations) kill their children as well before indulging in that act.

Comment #7 seems a bit silly.
Women's rights groups have enough to do that they don't need to spend much energy on such a very rare event?
And it is only speculation that they deliberately get pregnant before blowing themselves and fetus up. In fact, what would be the point; to make people more grossly horrified about your cause?

guess the politicians have come up within the women's movement too. it is a logical pattern that has to happen. something like newtons' laws are for physics.
