Sakshi:

virginal men who throughout their lives have virginal (untested) ideas, virginal (unoriginal) thoughts and are marred by virginal (stupid) actions do tend to over-emphasize virginity (in others)

Totally agree.
Its the stupid and boorish aspect of our culture that we are so anxiously protecting our 'virginity'.....

When I took a stand in an argument saying that the concept of 'virginity = purity' is bullshit, the next question a dumb-fuck Indian asked me is this: What if your daughter lost her virginity? I gave him an hour lecture on what the phrases 'personal space' and 'minding ones own business' meant. Not because he asked me that question, but because he considered I have some business in minding whether my daughter loses her virginity or not. I mean she can have sex with anyone she wants, provided she knows what she is doing.

what a shithole of a society have we turned ourselves into!!!

Women have got the right to choice. Their bodies, their choice. Their minds, their choice. Their womb, their choice.

There must not be any moral policing on women, when they exercise their choice.

Same way, men also have got the right to choice. Their bodies, their choice. Their minds, their choice. Their preferences, their choice.

There must not be any moral policing on men as well.

In a Libertarian world, everybody must have choice (unless it harms someone else). Nobody has a right to indulge in moral policing on what to do, what not to do and what to prefer, what not to prefer.

or are we seeing some amount of pseudo-libertarianism here ?

Btw, I guess in live-in relationships men do not bother about virginity.

Wow, that's wierd and freaky, but not surprising, given the anal morality of the Indian society

Totally agree on the hyposcrisy of it all. There are actually tribes in India & Africa that allow boys & girls to explore their natural instincts within certain guidelines. & the rest of the world is up in arms trying to "civilise" them.
What the world is trying to do is make them feel guilty about something that is natural.
