""The US Embassy, reportedly, booked 70 rooms in the hotel, with regards to President Bush's visit and the heavy entourage of security personnels. However, the hotel management was surprised to find that the rooms had been reserved for security dogs.""

Shit, is this really true!?

Majority of the Educated HINDUS love President Bush ....( except our Left Wing Media , Muslims & Politicians ) ....Most people who are critical of President Bush belong to a Mafia Called Secular Mafia ....that glorifies nincompoops like Sania Mirza , SRK ,Tendulkar ...MF Hussain ...etc. As a Hindu I love President Bush ...he has taught Muslims a good lesson ...US Army may have slaughtered as a many as 2 Million muslims ...nearly half the population of Iraq...Islamic Terrorists can strike Indian cities at will due to pro islamic Media ( & politicians ) ...but dare they touch US ...for fear of another Afghanistan or Iraq...Americans are not Bindaas people ....( like we have here in India ) like Israelis they strike back.

Leftwing media & secularists are pro islamic Gays ....Leftwingers anyway are attracted to EVIL...in this case case Terrorists.

G W Bush - 21st Century President

Although many Muslims, share negative perceptions of Bush's foreign policy , there is widespread recognition of his successful humanitarian and health initiatives on the continent.

Bush has spent more money on aid to Africa than his predecessor, Bill Clinton, and is popular for his personal programmes to fight AIDS and malaria and to help hospitals and schools.

Bush has stressed new-style partnerships with Africa based on trade and investment and not purely on aid handouts.

His Millennium Challenge Corp. rewards countries that continue to satisfy criteria for democratic governance, anti-corruption and free-market economic policies.

Bush signed the largest such deal, for $698 million, with Kikwete on Sunday. Because of the US anti-malaria programme, 5 per cent of patients tested positive for the disease on the offshore islands of Zanzibar in 2007 compared to 40 per cent three years earlier, the Tanzanian leader said.

Bush's legacy in Africa would be saving the lives of hundreds of thousands of mothers and children who would otherwise have died from malaria or AIDS and enabling millions of people to get an education, he said. "I know you leave office in about 12 months' time. Rest assured that you will be remembered for many generations to come for the good things you've done for Tanzania and the good things you have done for Africa," Kikwete said.

Well, I beg to differ with majority of the commentors here and would appear to be the Devil's advocate...but I do some-what agree with Abrar here.

I am an Indian...who is bearly effected by the American government's policies or attack on Iraq, etc. But I still happen to hate that man, in my eyes he is no less than a militant. And like me there are many other INDIANS who feel the same.

I mean, its not necessary that we have to be in the other person's shoe to understand their pain. The protest is not against America and it's people....its against the American government's attitude and self-interest which is disguised as "world peace".

There is alot of stuff that happens in every country. Canada, USA, China, Pakistan, everywhere but that doesnt mean you just go invade them on false pretext of liberty!! Come on, you know more than me what Iraq was all about!!

And anyways, this debate has morphed into something totally different!!

Vikas: Dont get me wrong here!! I am not advocating USSR!! Just the fact that a single super-power always results in such situations!! And instead of an alternate superpower like China or anyone else, we would be better off in a system where there are more powerfull states, so that no one country get away with things like Iraq.

Abrar Do you seriously believe in this spiel?

"In those days, USA did not have a hedemony and was not policing the world. Dont you think that was a better era for the whole world in general."

The cold war era, when the two superpowers were just turning underdeveloped countries of the world into theatres of wars just to avoid direct confrontation for MAD was a better era than today? When the USSR had turned the entire Eastern Europe into one big economic and industrial wasteland was a better era than the current one?

That is a very warped view of the world. Looks like blind and visceral hatred of a country has detrimental effects on reasoning and logic.

VIKAS: Instead od alternative country, I think maybe we should debate how thigns were different when there were 2 superpowers during the cold war era.

In those days, USA did not have a hedemony and was not policing the world. Dont you think that was a better era for the whole world in general. I think we will have to wait till another power rises, maybe CHINA, maybe INDIA. But I would rather think its gonna be CHINA who have the potential to challenge American ambitions. Also, their strategic thinking and goals are quite clear.

So I think the absence of another super-power is allowing america to get away with anything they want to do!! I mean did Indian PM get frisked when the previous Presidents came to INDIA?? Its just that now they have so much power that they can demand anything from any country. The only exceptioon is CHINA!!

Luckyarcher: You are way out there man! All I suggested was to write a post that starts with the acceptance that there will always be at least one nation in the world dominating world affairs. Right now, it is the United States and apparently a bunch of people hate that. If you are one of them then let us see you line up an alternative and tell us in what ways the alternative is better than the US.

You think it is Canada? Then convince us. After all Canada also has its troops in Iraq and recently Canada also elected its own version of a conservative government. I am saying that it is not enough for people to simply denounce the US - talk about the alternatives.

And yeah - mind your language and don't get personal.

Vikas Chowdhry, list alternatives to what? An alternative country where you can earn quadruple of what you should earn and still drive a SUV? An alternative country that does not meddle or interfere and takes split second decisions when calamities strike? Which world are YOU living in?

Dude, the protests are a valid manner in highlighting issues that affects minorities. It's not for you people in your airconditioned offices and fake accents offering customer support to someone in Atlanta. There's nothing wrong in these protests, and you must be a fool to compare Canada to the US. Canada is a very peaceful nation and a well developed one too. Xenophobia is practically non existant.
And for all you ass-kissers out there. Don't forget that we weren't given a seat in the UNSC. And oh, don't ever stop dreaming about your H1B visa. It's in the offing, in your dreams, that is.

Abrar,

With due respects, you are missing a huge point about US of A. One of your great statesman, Pierre Trudeau once said of USA:

From http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/remember/july-dec00/trudeau_10-3html.html

PIERRE TRUDEAU: We're a different people from you, and we're a different people partly because of you. Living next to you is in some ways like sleeping with an elephant.

That is pretty much it.

Who are you kidding? If Canada were a world power today or if it were to become one tomorrow, these people would be chanting "Death to Canada" because all these guys know is to oppose, always searching for an enemy, a fall guy to take blame for all their shortcomings.

And really, is Canada's claim to fame only the fact that they allowed Sikhs to carry their daggers? If you are serious about Canada being a model country and society why not write a post on that, listing some more concrete reasons, comparing Canadian behavior with other countries and even putting up some hypothetical situations (like how Canada would have reacted if 9/11 would have happened on its soil) and then we can have an honest debate. Rather than denouncing the US, list the alternatives.

Which country......... maybe CANADA!! Dont you think those people are much more nicer and logical when it comes to understanding other people's rights and views!!

If you may recall, Canada's Supreme Court overturned the local school's decision to ban Sikhs from carry their ceremonial daggars. The fact that Supreme court did this by 8-0 vote shows how serious they are when it comes to respect religious views!!

And then some people in America wonder, why everyone hates them?

Alright then - so you (not you personally but whoever does) hate America and Americans? So do you love someone or something or all you have in your heart is hatred? Are you for anything or are you against everything? Dude - revolution is over and you lost - wake up and smell the McDonald's coffee.

So do you love France and Germany(sayonara outsourced jobs!)? Would you rather be China the world leader (hello censored searches!)? Saudi Arabia (better burn your Bibles and Gitas real quick - only Qorans allowed here!)?

Just for a minute - just tell me which country you want to replace the US with and then we can have a valid discussion!
